denim diaries.
i literally LOVE denim. it’s my favorite thing to wear simply due to how versatile it is. denim can be as casual or as glam as one sees fit. a former tomboy, i appreciate items of clothing that allow me that type of flexibility.

for this shoot, i chose to keep it simple. in all actuality, while i enjoy dressing, as i’ve gotten older i’m more likely to keep my looks as simple as possible. by simple, i mean that i choose one item and build the entire look around that—always mindful to wear the clothes versus allowing the clothes to wear me.
in this case, this dress is the focal point. i opted to pair it with some open toe mules because why not? the leopard print is a neutral that spices up the look a bit.
this dress will certainly be in heavy rotation. in cooler months, it’ll be great to pair this denim dress with a long sleeve white tee, a leather moto jacket, and OTK boots. even better, a cropped pullover would also make for a nice, casual fall look.
on any given day, the dress can also be worn with a pump or even sneakers. stay tuned for future content where i’ll explore the beauty of what i like to call “transitional” pieces such as this.
